Meizu 16s Announced with SD 855 SoC & in-display Fingerprint Sensor












Meizu 16s is the latest flagship device from the company that has been announced today at an event in China. The device will be available in White, Carbon Black, and Phantom Blue color options and is priced at 3398 Yuan (approx. $505) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version, 3698 Yuan (approx. $550) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version and the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage option costs 4198 yuan (approx. $624). 



Talking about specs of the handset, the Meizu 16s will be coming with a 6.2-inch (1080 × 2232 pixels) Full HD+ 18.6:9 Super AMOLED display. It will come out of the box, with Android 9 Pie Operating system with the companies own Flyme OS 8 on top. It will be powered with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset like all the flagship models for 2019, coupled with 6GB or 8GB RAM options.


The handset will be available in 128GB as well as 256GB onboard memory. This dual SIM variant will flaunt an in-display fingerprint sensor and comes with the connectivity options like Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz) 4×4 MIMO, Bluetooth 5, GPS, A-GPS and USB Type-C charging port. The handset measures 151.9 mm × 73.4 mm × 7.65 mm and weighs 165 grams in weight.


There is a 3600mAh battery on the device with the support for 24W mCharge fast charging. Now talking about the optics, the handset has a 48MP main camera sensor on the rear with LED flash which is a Sony IMX586 sensor along with 0.8um pixel size along with ring LED flash. There is a secondary 20MP Sony IMX350 telephoto camera. On the front, we can find a 20 MP selfie sensor also.


Furthermore, the handset comes with stereo speakers and in-built-in mEngine 3.0 that will be offering real and delicate vibration effect along with 4D gaming experience with real-time recognition of the game scene and vibrates the phone to match the scenes intelligently.
